OBS lets you split audio into tracks, but never video. TrackStack fixes that. Your stream layout, clean gameplay, clean webcam and a vertical cut, all starting on the same frame, plus a timeline that opens ready to edit.

Creators have been asking for this for years. OBS still can't do it, so people make do with workarounds.
Is it possible to record multiple and separate video tracks the same as you can for audio tracks?
Why can't we have multiple video tracks like for audio? โฆ use the clean footage for YouTube without any stream alerts.
โฆaudio becomes more and more desynced with the video for longer recordings.
Open the TrackStack panel in OBS. Start from a one-click preset, or pick a scene, source or your live scene for each track.
OBS's own Record button records every track too. They all start on the same frame, each in its own crash-safe file, using your GPU's encoder when one is available.
When you stop, TrackStack writes a timeline with every track stacked, in sync and with your markers. Import it into Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
Record several video tracks side by side: each in its own file, or all together in one Hybrid MP4/MOV. Each track gets its own size, framing, bitrate and encoder, so the vertical cut can be 1080ร1920 while your facecam stays at its native resolution.
Every track starts on the exact same frame and runs on OBS's own clock. No offset, and no clapping to sync.
Most editors only see the first video track in a multi-track file. TrackStack gives you one file per track plus a ready-made timeline that stacks them in sync.
Hardware encoding (NVENC, AMF, QuickSync, Apple, VAAPI) where available. If a hardware encoder can't start, TrackStack falls back to x264 automatically.
Tick "hide all browser sources" to drop alerts, chat and widgets from one track, or pick sources yourself. Your stream stays untouched, with no duplicate scenes to maintain.
Stream + clean gameplay, Horizontal + vertical, Podcast, Tutorial. Pick one and your tracks are set up, using the sources you already have in OBS.
Mark the moment live, and the markers show up on your editor timeline. You don't have to scrub through 4 hours of VOD to find "that play."
With MKV or Hybrid MP4/MOV (the default formats), everything recorded up to a crash stays playable.
It lives in its own panel and never changes your scenes. Clean feeds use private copies. It doesn't take over your OBS.
Hotkeys for start, stop and marker, which Stream Deck, Touch Portal and anything else using obs-websocket can trigger.
Turn VODs into YouTube videos with clean gameplay. Alerts never get in the way again.
A 9:16 track recorded alongside your stream, ready to cut into Shorts, TikToks and Reels.
One track per camera means real multicam editing without a hardware switcher.
Full-res screen and presenter cam, so you can zoom into code without it turning to mush.

That's Enhanced Broadcasting, which sends several quality levels of the same picture to Twitch for streaming. It doesn't record different views to separate tracks. TrackStack does.
That's the point. Most editors only read the first video track in a multi-track file, so by default TrackStack writes one file per track, all starting on the same frame, plus a timeline: .xml for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, .fcpxml for Final Cut Pro (use Hybrid MP4 or MOV for Final Cut, since it can't open MKV). CapCut, Vegas, Shotcut and Kdenlive can use the per-track files directly: drop them in at the start and they line up. We're testing imports in each editor during the preview.
Every extra track takes some GPU and encoder time. TrackStack uses your GPU's hardware encoder when one is available and falls back to x264 automatically if it can't start. You can give lighter tracks (like a facecam) a smaller size and bitrate.
Source Record is a great free plugin that records sources to separate files, and some users report drift on long recordings. TrackStack starts every track on the same frame, writes a ready-made timeline for your editor, and can hide alerts on a track without duplicate scenes.
No. Clean feeds hide the picture only. Sounds come from OBS's audio mix, so route alert audio to an audio track you don't record if you want it gone.
